My wife and I have been together for 10 years and we are just now considered a safe couple. A lot of our friends have been together for over 10 years. I don't agree. Jonathan and I have been together for 16 years as of the 2nd day of January -- and we are far from unique. We know a number of gay couples, one of which is composed of two men who have been together 45 years.



It is true that homosexuals who are just out or still closeted rarely seek love -- because they are hiding and living miserable lives -- and to actually have a lover would reveal who and what they really are. I pity such people, enormously; as I do those who haven't dealt with inculcated guilt and shame over their own sexuality -- which leads to immediate negative feelings after orgasm, and thus to exclusive one night stands. I pity them so much, and am thankful for my accepting positive parents and my inclusive religious group.

There are many who are into life just for the sex. They don't have to be gay. Look at kids in junior high! Only born again preachers or Republicans are as bad as teenagers!

I'm no authority, but I know 3 gay couples. The shortest relationship among those couples is 17 years. The gay people I know want love and commitment.

i know i might get some thubs down for this but i have very strong opinions and i'm sorry if they affend anyone but this shouldn't affend anyone if you know your not like that cause this only goes to the ones that are like that and you know damn well who you are.
You basically have to look out for yourself because some people may seem to be interested but once you see their "true colors" then it could all go bad. Get to know that person fully, before you offer yourself to him/her.
i've been with my partner for 12 years, and love is hard to find everywhere. its especially hard to find for young gay people because they are brought up in a society that tells them what they feel is wrong and they should be ashamed of themselves.



so many are afraid to love because they haven't learned to love themselves yet. but that is changing and so are peoples opinions and actions.



besides, young straight people have many of the same issues based on marriage and divorce rates, love is hard to find everywhere.
