Kenshi and Skarlet aren't in the story mode because they aren't playable characters in MK 1, 2, and 3. You can't play as those bosses, but in the challenge tower, there's a level where you can. Yes, Rain and another character that hasn't been revealed will be released during this summer. I think and hope very much that there will be an MK10, after all MK9 is a series reboot!I have a couple question about the new Mortal Kombat 9 that came out??
because skarlet was originally a glitch character (like ermac) she didn't make her as a playable character until this mortal kombat and kenshi doesn't have a story because he didn't appear in the first 3 mortal kombat games. he made his debut in deadly alliance.
