How many characters are REALLY in mk 9?

I'm a huge fan of the mortal kombat series but have yet to find the confirmed character list. if you have any idea, or can provide a link to the site then please do. I don't think it would have as many characters as Armageddon, but I'm curious... Dlc characters too please.How many characters are REALLY in mk 9?
There is about 30 characters(dlc included). Kratos is a ps3 free exclusive character. the dlc characters so far that is and will be available are skarlet, freddy krueger, kenshi, and I think rain is or will be available.
