How to unlock dlc in games?

Like, for an example, Mortal Kombat 9 has unreleased dlc. {Skarlet, Klassic Cyrax, Klassic Sektor, etc.} People already got it. And i was wondering how they did it. I tried to use the generators, but they never work. They aren't viruses , they just don't work! So i was guessing they had to like did something with the game like changing files or iso mod it or something. I'm still trying to find out how to do it , but nothing ever popped up. Help please! (And you would be nice, please include a tutorial, Thanks! :) )How to unlock dlc in games?
the only thing i can think of is,the dlc was released in another country and not in america and these people have modded systems to play these games and the dlc.other than that im not sure how they did it,sorry.hope this helps.How to unlock dlc in games?

I'm pretty sure you just buy them. DLC means Downloadable content, just buy them, download them and Google how to do the rest.
if you cant buy them that means that they are mods i think ...
